Sporadic murmurs and other pomegranates from a one-way street

First Iris

Our first iris of the year. Photo taken today. It is the “Orange Popsicle”. The numerous freezes of December knocked out our Janurary iris blossoms. Their straw colored husks bow to the Delta breezes. We had blooming iris on Christmas day in 2010.

  1. I CANNOT BELIEVE you have Iris in bloom!!!! OMG. I am so envious. We just saw our first Robin two days ago!!!! (smile). It is a gorgeous shade. What a prize. thank you for your gracious remarks just now.

    • You are welcome. Don’t know if I should say this but our robins have been around all winter. We moved from Colorado eight years ago and I still marvel at the palm trees and mild winters. By the way, we are just down the road from Lodi. And thank you for the follow. Much appreciated.

      • You’re right. You shouldn’t have said that (smile). And wow, just down the road from Lodi? I haven’t been back there since 1951. All I remember are street floods in the Spring and fields and fields and fileds of orange poppies. Thank you for filling me in on your daily enjoyments.
