California Hibiscus

Our first California hibiscus blossom opened Wednesday. The several closely bunched plants we have will erupt with several hundred flowers over the next several months. We purchased the first plant from a local Delta nursery approximately eight years agp. The hibiscus is considered rare, threatened, or endangered in California; common elsewhere.
