Sporadic murmurs and other pomegranates from a one-way street

Adieu Sweet Suzy

A Year Ago Today

We said goodbye to Suzy today. She was 15 1/2 years old. She adopted us just over six years ago. Her failing health began to impact her quality of life and it was time to bid her farewell. Now she is across the bridge romping with Tule, Freda, Opy, Charlie, Pippa, Sophie, Splash, Ivy and so many more of her friends she met over the years. We tried to give her a comfortable and loving home and she gave so much more in return. She will sorely be missed and never forgotten. Love you and miss you, Suzy. Adieu.

  1. So sorry to hear James. xx

    • Thank you. I don’t think we will be getting a new friend for a while. We will be moving to Oregon in the next six months or so. Our kids bought some land outside of Astoria and are going to have a home built there. We will follow them and continue babysitting for our 18 month old grandson, Oliver, while they work. Once settled we may start looking for a senior dog again. It is just too chaotic right now. Wouldn’t be fair for a new family member. Suzy never lost her puppy face. She kept it to the very end. See above.

  2. Sweet dreams and green fields Suzy. Say hello to our Splash — he will want to play and although he’s big, don’t worry he will let you win.
