California Drought
Will the California drought scuttle the Delta Tunnels? Hope so.

Rain clouds in June, let alone the end of June, are a rare sight in this part of the state. Though the respite from the heat is nice. Always count the goats on our walk. Have our own neighborhood goatwatch. A few neighbors keep an eye on the goats’ health and safety. Several goats have had to have their heads extricated from the surrounding fence. I tried once but had to call animal control. Goat had pushed its head through two fences. Owner not home. Herd presently numbers 28-31. Hard to count due to tall grass and a deep gully. Eight years ago there were 13. Past year has seen new adult goats arrive and many kids born. Ah, the rurality. (It is raining now.)
Can California learn from this?
Tobacco and alcohol are legal and certainly cause more health problems. The times they are a changing and it’s getting better all the time. California leads the way, as usual.
Not that far away. Reminds us of our trek through the hedge maze at Longleat. http://bit.ly/dc421m
Dairy farmers flee California due to regulations? Great. Now they can release all the methane produced by their herds and feed GMO corn to the cattle. (No mention of pasturing their herds.) Nice. Thank you to all the dairy farmers who don’t care about the environment or the quality of their dairy products. There is a cost for doing things the right way. Don’t know if I want to drink milk from Iowa.
