Pay For the Paper Privilege

A wonderful idea that needs to be required everywhere. Pay more or use your own cup. Many carry their own reusable water bottle so why not a coffee/tea container. Take responsibly.

Just Say No To Fireworks

As you ooh and aah at the fireworks this New Year’s Eve just remember the the particulates and heavy metals in the smoke and the plastic and other pollutants that are spread across the environment and pollute the air you breathe. Try to remain out of the clouds of smoke. If your local community does not care about the environment and the health of their citizens take action to inform your representatives of the dangers of fireworks and the much better alternatives. Synchronized drones, laser shows and White Night Festivals sans pyrotechnics are much better and safer alternatives.

Keystone Pipeline Letter

Dear Mr. Kerry,

The Keystone XL pipeline will tranport an incredibly corrosive and deadly product across our country with the real possibility of destroying wildlife habitats, polluting our groundwater and surface waterways and destroying people's way of life. All this for a neighboring country whose government's attitude towards climate change is diametrically opposed to our own beliefs and for a few jobs. Big money from big business is the only support this pipeline has. Its proponents care nothing of the environment. An environment we have a stewardship to maintain come climate change or big money. If we do not have a clean and viable environment to live in then what else matters? So some brothers may make more money? They can't count what they already have. They are selfish and if our government gives in to their misinformation and dubious tactics it is just as selfish. It is the coming generations that will reap the horrors of the pipeline approval. This is the defining moment of the present administration. Will their commitment to a cleaner, healthier and safer world turn out to be real or another lie and disappointment? The real people have spoken. Your legacy and our future is in your hands. Choose wisely.

Thank you.

Happy Independence Day to me. On this day eight years ago I awoke…

to a great adventure, my retirement. My own declaration of independence if you will. I don’t know why or how this minor occurrence in the scheme of things has exploded into hugh fireworks displays around the country. I did not see any such displays on the anniversary of our country’s declaration of independence on the second of July. If you deem it appropriate to celebrate my retirement, I thank you. Hope you have a great time. But instead of setting off skyrockets, and colorful aerial bombs thus polluting our skies, I ask that you use the “ILoveFireworks” app (99 cents) on your mobile device. Then you can celebrate any and all special occurrences whenever you like and save our atmosphere. Thank you. #declarationofindependence #adventure #July2nd #pollution # retirement #celebration #July4th #atmosphere 😉

Chevron, we agree.

You need to pay for the mess you purchased in Ecuador. It is your responsibility. Stop wasting your money on advertising, pay your taxes and step up.
